These classes are designed for athletes who are looking to focus on the basics and foundational movements of CrossFit.

Athletes of all levels are welcome in this class, and the workout will be a scaled down or modified version of the regular CrossFit class’s workout of the day.

These classes begin on the 5th of every month on Tuesday & Thursday 7pm.

CrossFit Kids & Teens

CrossFit Kids is a program specifically designed for kids of all ages!

The movements we do in CrossFit Kids are things kids do when they play – run, jump, lift, push, pull and climb – so any kid can participate!

Class is different every day to keep kids well-rounded, engaged, and most of all having fun!

We have CrossFit Kids classes for a couple  different age groups:

CrossFit Kiddos (ages 4-9)
CrossFit Kids/Teens (ages 10-16)

Olympic Weightlifting

Here at CrossFit Orenda we work with athletes of all ability and experience levels, from rank novices just curious about this weightlifting thing to nationally competitive weightlifters. We believe in always striving for technical perfection of the competitive lifts (snatch and clean and jerk) while constantly pushing strength with plenty of squats, presses, and pulls. Technical proficiency is what enables our athletes to fully express their strength in the competitive lifts.

So, what is weightlifting? Weightlifting (one word) refers to the sport in which athletes compete in two events: the snatch and the clean and jerk. The snatch is a movement in which athletes take a loaded barbell from the floor to fully locked out overhead in one fluid, extremely quick movement. The clean and jerk is a movement in which athletes take a loaded barbell first from the floor to the shoulders, and then from the shoulders to overhead. Weightlifting is the only barbell sport contested in the Olympic Games.

The snatch and the clean and jerk are incredible developers of explosive power, strength, and athleticism, and athletes and coaches from a vast range of disciplines have come to appreciate their inclusion in a training program to improve these qualities. Weightlifting training can help make you a stronger and more powerful athlete regardless of your sport, or even if you are just looking to build some strength and athleticism and improve your fitness, health, and quality of life.
